Roger Vrachnas

Roger is an experienced lawyer with a strong background in litigation and dispute resolution. He has been the instructing solicitor in a number of County Court trials involving significant financial claims under agreements and guarantees, including a recent case addressing a previously unsettled legal question in Victoria concerning the enforcement of guarantees against company directors. Roger successfully secured favourable judgements for his clients in these complex matters. He has acted for plaintiffs in multifaceted County Court cases with multiple defendants, including legal practices, achieving positive settlements prior to trial. Roger regularly represents clients across all stages of debt recovery proceedings, from initial letters of demand to enforcement actions such as bankruptcy and insolvency proceedings, and also prepares all necessary documentation in these areas. In addition to his work in civil litigation, Roger has experience in criminal and traffic law matters, acting both as an instructing solicitor and appearing in court as a solicitor advocate. He provides legal services in various fields including wills and probate, estate litigation, intervention orders, retail and residential tenancies, administrative law, and employment law. Outside of his legal career, Roger is actively involved in the sporting community. He has held leadership roles in cricket clubs, including Vice-Captain of Ormond Cricket Club and Captain of Heatherton Cricket Club. He is a long-standing member of the Southern Golf Club and enjoys running, having completed the Melbourne Marathon three times. Roger also pursues water skiing and snow skiing in his leisure time and is a dedicated supporter of the St Kilda Football Club.
