Rob Grant

Rob Grant is a nationally accredited mediator and registered family dispute resolution practitioner, holding the authority to issue Section 60I Certificates. With over four decades of dedicated experience in family law, Rob is widely recognised as a leader in the field. His career is marked by his role as a Queensland pre-eminent family law mediator, earning a reputation for high success rates as noted in the Doyle’s Guide to the Australian Legal Profession from 2017 through to 2025. Rob’s extensive experience in both property and parenting matters empowers him to facilitate outcomes that respect ongoing relationships and resolve disputes consensually and with dignity. His qualifications include being a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia, a Queensland Law Society Accredited Family Law Specialist, and a holder of both a Master of Laws and a Vocational Graduate Diploma of Dispute Resolution. Rob’s career spans over 40 years, focusing exclusively on family law and resolving complex financial and parenting disputes. He conducts child-inclusive parenting mediations alongside experienced social scientists and psychologists, highlighting his commitment to comprehensive, child-centred solutions. As an Independent Children's Lawyer, Rob has acted in numerous intricate parenting disputes, leveraging his skills to advocate effectively for children's best interests. Rob has served as President and Executive member of the Family Law Practitioner's Association and was integral to the foundation of Specialist Accreditation in Family Law through the Queensland Law Society.
