Jim McIntyre

Jim McIntyre is the Principal Solicitor with over 25 years of experience in commercial law. He began his legal career practising in a Sydney CBD firm, where he gained extensive experience in commercial litigation. Throughout this period, Jim managed trials and appeared in a broad range of NSW civil courts, specialist tribunals, the Land & Environment Court, as well as the Federal and High Courts. In 2006, Jim attained accreditation in commercial litigation, reflecting his commitment to maintaining high professional standards. Since joining HB Legal Business & Property Lawyers in Port Macquarie in 2007, he has progressively shifted his focus towards commercial transactions and advisory work, ensuring clients are well protected should difficulties or disputes arise. Jim is attentive to his clients' individual preferences, recognising that some wish to be involved in detailed discussions while others prefer to entrust matters to his expertise. He has a talent for explaining legal concepts and their practical implications in a straightforward manner. His practice encompasses property and business transactions, leases, employment law, commercial dispute resolution, intellectual property protection, and building and construction matters. Outside of his legal work, Jim enjoys spending time with his family, playing the piano, reading quality literature, and participating in his local church community.
