Jon Wiedman

Jon Wiedman is the Director at Hede Byrne & Hall Lawyers, bringing over 33 years of extensive legal expertise to his role. He began his legal journey in 1992 with the firm as an articled clerk, following six impactful years with the Magistrates Court Office in Toowoomba. His dedication and proficiency led to his appointment as a Director in 2000. Jon is deeply committed to delivering tailored, practical, and effective legal solutions, serving a diverse clientele across Toowoomba, Warwick, and Roma. He focuses primarily on succession and estate matters, providing expert advice on drafting wills, administering deceased estates, establishing and managing trusts, and handling estate litigation. In addition to his practice, Jon plays an active role in the legal community. He serves as the secretary of the Downs and South West Law Association, is a member of the Queensland Law Society’s Succession Law Committee, and contributes as a Councillor on the Queensland Law Society Council. His background in sports medicine and massage supplements his legal career, as he maintains strong community ties and actively trains with the Coolaroo Australian Football Club in Toowoomba. Jon's qualifications include a Bachelor of Laws from the Queensland University of Technology obtained in 1997, the same year he was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland.
