Melissa Henderson

Melissa Henderson is a seasoned solicitor with a comprehensive background in commercial litigation and employment law. A graduate of Monash University with an Honours degree in Arts and Law in 1987, she embarked on her legal career in Melbourne, gaining valuable experience at national law firms. Melissa's expertise spans building and construction law, commercial litigation for businesses, employment law for corporate leaders, and testator’s family maintenance matters. Her legal journey took an entrepreneurial turn when she served as the CEO of Supa Group Constructions, one of Victoria's prominent home extension companies. During her tenure from 2009 to 2014, Melissa honed her skills in business management, overseeing operations from sales and marketing to human resources and financial management. This experience enriched her understanding of client and commercial needs, providing her with unique insights into the intersection of law and business. Melissa rejoined Hendersons Legal in 2015, bringing with her a wealth of knowledge from her diverse career. She is adept at providing strategic advice to clients on building, HR, commercial disputes, and estate matters, addressing the everyday challenges faced by businesses and individuals. Outside of her legal practice, Melissa enjoys reading science fiction, painting, and participating in choral performances, having recently performed Mahler’s Symphony of 1000 at Melbourne Town Hall.
