

Evan Dowd, a Director and Solicitor, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his legal practice. Hailing from Leeton in the Riverina region of NSW, he was inspired by his father Michael Dowd, a lawyer and later a Magistrate. Evan pursued his legal education at the University of Sydney and was admitted as a Legal Practitioner of the Supreme Court of NSW in 1999. Over the past 22 years, Evan has cultivated a diverse legal career. He began his journey with a prominent litigation firm in Sydney before expanding his horizons in the United Kingdom for four years. In 2004, he settled in Bathurst, where he continues to practice with dedication and integrity. Evan’s commitment to the legal profession is demonstrated through his service as President of the Central West Law Society from 2012 to 2014 and his role as a Board Director for Glenray Industries, a not-for-profit supporting individuals with disabilities. His passion for social justice is evident in his volunteering efforts, where he guides local high school students in their legal studies. As an Accredited Specialist in Criminal law, Evan's proficiency is underscored by his comprehensive knowledge and exceptional advocacy skills, having served as both a Prosecuting and Defending lawyer. His practice encompasses Property and Conveyancing, Criminal law, Civil litigation, Family law, and Wills and Estate matters, making him a versatile and highly regarded legal advisor. Outside the office, Evan enjoys spending time with his family on their farm and participating in sports.
