Tamara Hensen

Tamara Hensen serves as the Legal Practice Director at Hensen Maxwell Solicitors and leads the Family Law division, along with other key areas including Domestic Violence and Child Protection. Admitted to both the Queensland Supreme Court and the Australian High Court, Tamara practices within both Queensland and Federal jurisdictions. Her deep compassion and dedication guide her engagement with families, providing support during challenging transitions. With a strong focus on equitable outcomes, Tamara assists families in building robust futures, leveraging her background in psychology to facilitate low-conflict, negotiated resolutions. Her extensive work in domestic violence and child protection is complemented by her involvement with Bravehearts, enhancing her capacity to deliver comprehensive support. Tamara's practice also encompasses Wills and Estates, offering a holistic service to family law clients where property and family settlements intersect. Beyond her professional role, she dedicates time as a gymnastics coach and judge, specialising in acrobatic gymnastics, and occasionally participates in ninja warrior events. Her career includes a progression through various roles, beginning as a Solicitor at Davey Law and North Law, advancing to Senior Associate and Principal roles before her current directorship. Educationally, Tamara holds a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from Queensland University of Technology and a dual Bachelor Degree in Law and Psychological Science from Griffith University.
