John Contarino

John is an Associate Lawyer in HOCW’s Commercial Litigation and Insolvency team, practising in commercial litigation and dispute resolution, with experience across insolvency building and construction, intellectual property and general commercial matters and disputes. He has acted for individuals, companies and insolvency practitioners across a broad range of contested matters together with assisting with negotiating and drafting complex shareholder agreements and other commercial documents. John has appeared in a range of litigious matters in various courts, ranging from the Federal Court of Australia and all jurisdictions in Victoria, with additional experience in other states and territories. He practises across: - Commercial litigation and dispute resolution - Insolvency and restructuring - Secured and unsecured debt recovery - Contractual and corporate disputes - Building and construction - Bankruptcy and enforcement proceedings - General corporate and commercial matters John works with clients to navigate disputes and achieve practical, commercially focused outcomes.
