Harland Koops is the Principal of his boutique legal practice, bringing over 35 years of expertise in litigation to his clients. His extensive experience spans a variety of areas, including commercial disputes, trusts, contract and trade practices, corporations law, and criminal defence. Harland has played pivotal roles in cases of significant public interest and has a track record of appearing as an advocate and conducting successful mediations. Prior to establishing his own firm on January 1, 2009, he held the position of head of litigation at a major Australian law firm. Harland is recognised for settling numerous large and complex legal disputes for both Australian and international clients. Throughout his distinguished career, he has been involved in landmark and high-profile cases such as Gould v Brown, In Re Wakim, HRH Faisal al Saud v Wimborne, and several others. A recipient of the University Medal in Law from the University of NSW in 1988, Harland furthered his studies at the University of Chicago before embarking on his illustrious legal journey.
