Bronwen Nicholls, a Senior Associate, integrates her diverse background in international politics and environmental philosophy to her legal practice, enriching her work with a broad perspective. Her active engagement in the environmental justice movement and her experiences as a parent have deeply connected her with the Mullumbimby community. A law graduate from Monash University, Bronwen initially pursued a Master of Laws, but chose to prioritise her family commitments. Despite occasionally questioning the law, her dedication lies in empowering clients to understand and navigate it effectively. Her legal career commenced as a paralegal with Mark Shenken, assisting at the Homeless Persons Legal Clinic, which laid the groundwork for her deep commitment to social justice. Bronwen then gained extensive experience as a solicitor with Alan Shnider & Co., where she honed her skills over four years. She subsequently joined Wall & Company, serving the Mullumbimby region for over five years, applying her legal acumen to address various client needs. Currently, she contributes part-time to Darren Hunter Family Law, focusing on assisting the Northern Rivers community with family law matters. Beyond her legal roles, Bronwen has a history of advocacy and liaison work, having served as an Advisor Liaison at Unified Healthcare Group and as an Environment Officer with the University of Queensland Union. Her involvement with the Students of Sustainability Conference also highlights her longstanding commitment to environmental issues.
