Ian Roche

Ian Douglas Roche is the Practice Director of Ian Roche Lawyers with extensive experience spanning several decades. His initial admission was in 1975 then focusing on insolvency and court appointed administrations. he was called to the Bar in 1978 and practised in Sydney and the ACT where he handled a broad range of civil law cases. His work included engagements with Lawcover and the NRMA domestic arson team, reflecting his involvement in insurance-related litigation and risk management. Between 2005 and 2010, Ian practised law in Fiji, enriching his international legal exposure before returning to Australia. From 2011 to 2022, he served as special counsel with Shaddicks Lawyers in Richmond, contributing his expertise until 2022 when he set up this law firm. He professes expertise in litigation across property law disputes, employment , trusts and estates, professional negligence and injury claims of all types.
