Kathryn Hodges is a Principal Lawyer with extensive experience in family law, guiding clients through the often complex and emotional challenges of separation and related family issues. Her journey into law began early, shaped by a natural aptitude for communication, problem-solving, and leadership demonstrated through public speaking, student advocacy, and early work experience at a law firm.
After completing her law degree at Queensland University of Technology and gaining practical experience as an articled clerk, Kathryn was admitted as a solicitor in 1998. She quickly developed a strong commitment to family law, driven by empathy and a desire to assist individuals navigating the difficult intersections of relationships, family dynamics and legal matters.
Kathryn is known for her clear, straightforward approach to sometimes complicated legal issues. She emphasises simplicity and resolution over adversarial disputes, helping clients focus on practical and cost-effective outcomes. Her dedication extends beyond traditional legal practice; she is also a qualified family law arbitrator, mediator, and family dispute resolution practitioner, enabling her to support clients through alternative dispute resolution processes.
In addition to her legal practice, Kathryn is the author of “Who Gets The Dog,” a book designed to provide accessible guidance for those experiencing separation and its legal consequences.
