Rohan Wallace

Rohan Wallace boasts a distinguished career spanning nearly three decades as a patent attorney, marked by his leadership as President of the Australian group of FICPI. He has played a pivotal role in significant legal matters, including involvement in a High Court case concerning patentability. His expertise extends to enforcing patents against infringers and he actively participates in IP Australia's consultation groups for patents, trade marks, and designs. Rohan's international reach is underscored by his work across diverse technologies, providing invaluable guidance to a varied clientele ranging from individual inventors to large multinational corporations. After obtaining a Bachelor of Computer Systems Engineering from Curtin University, Rohan embarked on his career in a small Perth firm, followed by over a decade at a prominent national patent and trademark attorney firm. In 2009, he established his own firm, which evolved into the well-regarded IP Sentinels. His forward-thinking approach led to a merger in 2018 with Golja Haines and Friend Patent & Trade Mark Attorneys. Today, IP Sentinels thrives under his leadership, focusing on patenting IT and mechanical inventions, and securing design and trademark registrations both domestically and internationally. Rohan has cultivated numerous connections with intellectual property professionals globally, ensuring comprehensive protection for clients' innovations. His leadership roles include Advisory Council Member for FICPI and various positions within FICPI Australia. He is also a Fellow of IPTA and an active member of other esteemed organisations such as IPSANZ, LESANZ, APAA, and INTA, reflecting his commitment to the advancement of intellectual property law.
