As an accomplished litigator, he has represented clients in superior and appellate courts and adjudication forums across Australia, including Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, and the Northern Territory. Julian's journey in the legal field began with his studies at the University of Sydney, where he earned both a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Science with honours in Biochemistry and Anatomy. His career commenced at Speed & Stracey Lawyers and quickly progressed through significant roles such as commercial litigator at Dibbs Barker and construction lawyer at DLA Phillips Fox. His expertise expanded through his position as a Senior Lawyer at Ward Keller, focusing on building and construction disputes. Julian further honed his skills at HWL Ebsworth as a Senior Associate, including a crucial secondment to GHD as Legal Counsel, advising on government and private sector projects. His strategic insights have been invaluable in negotiating and drafting agreements for major projects, such as the North West Rail Link and the WestConnex project. Following roles as Special Counsel with Thynne + Macartney and Construct Law Group, Julian founded Troy Legal, continuing his dedication to high-stakes construction law.
