Domenic Care is a seasoned partner with over 15 years of experience in criminal defence law. As a Law Institute of Victoria Accredited Criminal Law Specialist, he achieved his specialisation in 2018 following the successful completion of the LIV's Criminal Law Specialisation Program. Domenic's expertise extends across both criminal law and procedure, providing him with a robust foundation to advocate effectively on behalf of his clients. In 2020, Domenic was appointed to the LIV Criminal Law Section Executive Committee, where he plays a pivotal role in representing various practice areas of Victorian Criminal Law. His contributions to both government and non-government advisory groups demonstrate his commitment to legal advocacy and reform. Domenic actively participates in Criminal Law Division Court User Groups within multiple jurisdictions, showcasing his dedication to improving legal processes. Domenic appears regularly as a solicitor advocate in the Magistrates’ Court, County Court, and Children’s Court of Victoria, and is also involved in Independent Broad-based Anti-corruption Commission matters. His extensive representation covers a wide range of charges including serious assaults, homicide, driving offences, fraud such as white-collar crime, large-scale drug trafficking, and sex offences. Particularly interested in serious driving offences and terrorism matters, Domenic has built a reputation for his work in these complex areas of criminal law.
