Brian Bero

Brian Bero is a commercial lawyer with extensive experience advising major corporations including Telstra, Oracle and Qantas on a broad range of legal matters such as litigation, negotiations and compliance. His background encompasses significant work within the telecommunications and information technology sectors. Brian has represented prominent banks, technology and telecommunications companies, airlines and government bodies on complex issues including intellectual property assignments and licenses, customer and supplier agreements, technology-related advice and privacy compliance. His practice has spanned New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria. He has experience working in the Federal Court of Australia and the Supreme Court of Victoria, and has held positions at the Victorian Government Solicitor’s Office as well as with Gilbert+Tobin Lawyers. Brian currently serves as a director on the Board of Community Housing Ltd and has previously held leadership roles with the National Indigenous Lawyers Corporation of Australia, Lagaw Kodo Mir Torres Strait Islander Corporate Resource and Cultural Centre, Indigenous lawyers and law student associations in both NSW and Victoria, and the Collingwood Industrial Magpies. As a Meriam man from the Torres Strait Islands, Brian is dedicated to advancing Indigenous self-determination and promoting socially responsible economic development for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
