Nelson, a labourer on an international ship, had suffered a serious work injury and was abandoned by his employer in a foreign country. John diligently prepared a negligence claim against the employer, ultimately securing a settlement that provided financial stability for Nelson and his family. In gratitude, Nelson named a fishing boat Eauwedo, meaning Thank You, in John's honour.
In another case, John represented Alfredo, a Colombian removalist, who had suffered permanent brain damage from a workplace accident. Faced with numerous rejections from other firms due to the perceived difficulty in proving fault, John pursued a negligence claim against the landlord and real estate agent.
