Paul Thompson

Paul Thompson serves as the Principal Solicitor and Director at Kennedy and Cooke, bringing a wealth of diverse experience to his legal practice. Beginning his legal career in Merimbula in 2006, Paul quickly established himself as a key figure in the firm, becoming a partner by 2009. His background is enriched by hands-on experience in the building industry, hospitality, and as a youth worker, allowing him to offer practical insights and a broad perspective in his legal work. Paul has also expanded his expertise through studies in engineering. His practice is notably robust in building and construction law, contract and commercial litigation, family, children, and criminal law. He skilfully handles matters related to wills, probate and estate administration, leasing, and commercial transactions. Paul is committed to assisting clients across most areas of legal practice, prioritising the resolution of disputes through negotiation and agreement. Outside the office, Paul enjoys a variety of outdoor activities such as mountain biking, surfing, rock climbing, gardening, and home building projects.
