About Tracey

Tracey Kerrigan is the Director at KJK Legal and an esteemed practitioner with a robust legal career that began upon her admission to the Supreme Court of South Australia in 1983. Her career was initiated through her role as an Associate to a Judge of the Supreme Court, laying a strong foundation in legal proceedings and judiciary processes. In 1986, Tracey started practising with Aldermans, which later became the national law firm Piper Alderman. Her pursuit of excellence led her to co-establish KJK Legal in October 2011 alongside colleagues from Piper Alderman. Over the course of more than 30 years, Tracey has cultivated an impressive practice in workers compensation, work health and safety, and insurance litigation. Her clientele includes both registered and self-insured employers, with a portfolio featuring several prominent blue-chip companies. Tracey's role as a consultant has seen her provide insightful in-house advice on diverse legal files and issues. She has guided clients through updates of policies and procedures following the implementation of the Return To Work Act 2014. Her expertise extends to general insurance, specifically public liability claims, and recovery claims for self-insured corporate entities. Tracey has a distinguished record in asbestos and silicosis claims and has been recognised in Doyle’s Guide as a Recommended Leading Dust Disease Liability Lawyer and a Leading Workers Compensation Lawyer. Tracey is actively engaged with the legal community through her memberships with the Australian Insurance Law Association and as the Director and Deputy Chairperson of Maxima Group Ltd. She is also affiliated with the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Her significant expertise includes advising on claims management issues and defending complex asbestos litigation. Tracey's education includes her formative years at St Mary's College in Adelaide, shaping her foundational knowledge and commitment to the legal profession.
