Richard Pedley

Richard Pedley is a seasoned lawyer practising in corporate and commercial law. His expertise encompasses franchising, intellectual property, commercial transactions, business structures, negotiations, contracts, and trade practices law. Richard is adept at assisting clients with both commercial dispute resolution and intellectual property disputes. Serving clients across Australia, he has represented a diverse clientele ranging from small businesses to some of the country's largest retailers and publicly listed companies. Richard's broad experience allows him to engage with clients early on, helping to identify critical issues and commercial objectives. Richard's professional journey began at Glenister & Co as an articled clerk, followed by his role as a solicitor at Wright Smiths Lawyers. He then advanced to senior associate positions at Rotstein Commercial Lawyers and Robert James Lawyers. In 2019, Richard co-founded Lawcrest, where he was a partner until 2024, before returning to Robert James Lawyers as a partner. Based in Melbourne, Richard holds a Bachelor of Laws from Monash University.
