Dr. Clint Hampson

Dr Clint Hampson is the Principal at Legal Pathways Pty Ltd, where he leverages a unique blend of legal and forensic expertise to provide exceptional client service. His academic journey began with a Bachelor of Science from Curtin University, followed by a Masters in Forensic Science from the University of Western Australia. These foundations led him to a distinguished academic career in the UK, serving as a Senior Lecturer at Liverpool University while completing a Doctorate in Forensic Science. Dr Hampson's forensic acumen was further honed through consultancy with the UK Foreign Commonwealth Office and private sector, where he advised as an international forensic expert. Pursuing law, he completed a Bachelor of Laws at Edith Cowan University and was admitted to the Supreme Court of Western Australia in 2013. Focusing on criminal defence, Dr Hampson has handled cases involving homicides, drug and sexual assault charges, burglaries, and cold cases. He played a pivotal role in overturning wrongful convictions, notably securing an acquittal for Scott Austic after 12 years of incarceration. He actively participates in Legal Aid WA and is a member of the Criminal Lawyers Association of Western Australia. Dr Hampson also serves as Managing Director at Forensic Pathways Australasia, specialising in criminal and cold case reviews, forensic consultancy, and digital forensics. His prior roles include international forensic consulting and drug testing services for the mining sector. Outside of his professional commitments, Dr Hampson enjoys globetrotting and skiing in Japan.
