Liston Legal has a rich history tracing back to 1930, originating from the respected firm Windeyer & Havyatt. The firm's legacy began with Henry Liston, who, after being admitted as a solicitor in 1934, joined John Windeyer's practice in Glen Innes in 1947. Following Mr Windeyer's passing in 1952, Henry continued practising solo and with various partners until his retirement in 1989. In 1984, solicitors David Loveband and Henry's son, Bill Liston, joined as partners, leading the firm as Liston & Loveband until 2006. After a brief partnership with David Clifton ended in 2013, the firm continued under Bill Liston's stewardship as Liston Legal. In 2021, B&B Legal acquired the firm, ushering in a new era of growth and expansion. Today, Liston Legal is recognised for serving the Glen Innes community and the wider New England region, including Armidale, Inverell, Tamworth, Tenterfield, Guyra, and beyond.
