Before joining Maddison & Associates, John served as the General Manager of Human Resources at the ASX 200 company, Spotless, from 2012 to 2016. During his tenure, he successfully restructured the HR Department to align with contemporary strategies, enhancing service delivery across the business. He also played a pivotal role in industrial relations, representing Spotless in negotiations and legal proceedings in the Courts and the Fair Work Commission.
John's expertise extends to his time at Healthscope, where he established and managed the Human Resources function from 2006 to 2012, following the provision of legal services to the organisation. His earlier career includes founding a legal firm specialising in human resources, employment, and industrial law, providing invaluable advice and representation to employers in various industries.
His notable roles also include serving as Principal Employee Relations Adviser to Southern Health, Legal Counsel for the Service Industry Advisory Group, and the Australian Industry Group. With senior HR/IR positions at renowned corporations such as Kraft Foods, Telstra, and major construction firms, John's capability in navigating complex workplace environments is well-established.
