Jack Madsen serves as the Principal at Madsen O'Dea, bringing with him a wealth of experience in commercial law, banking and finance law, commercial litigation, debt recovery, and insolvency law. With a legal career commencing in 1989, Jack's extensive knowledge was further enhanced by a five-year tenure as in-house legal counsel for BankSA, where he honed his skills in addressing complex financial and corporate challenges.
Jack's wide-ranging expertise enables him to offer comprehensive solutions to a myriad of commercial and corporate legal issues. His adeptness in navigating intricate legal landscapes has garnered him respect and a strong referral network from both law firms and barristers, particularly for resolving complex disputes.
A graduate of the University of Adelaide, Jack holds a Bachelor of Laws with Honours and has furthered his legal studies with a Graduate Diploma in Law from the University of South Australia. His legal acumen is recognised by his admissions to the Supreme Court of South Australia, the Federal Court of Australia, the Supreme Court of Queensland, and the High Court of Australia.
Throughout his illustrious career, Jack has held pivotal roles including partner positions at Hunt & Hunt and Madsen Rowley, contributing significantly to their practice areas. His commitment to the legal profession extends beyond his practice, as demonstrated by his previous board membership at Pulteney Grammar School, where he chaired the Governance and Nominations Committee.
