Jeanne Stokes

Jeanne Stokes serves as the Principal Solicitor at Malanda Law, bringing a wealth of experience and commitment to the Tablelands region. Having been a member of the Queensland Law Society since 2010, Jeanne was admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2014 and the High Court of Australia in 2018. Her legal journey began at G.L. Prior & Associates in Malanda, where she found her calling to serve the local community, leading to her acquisition and rebranding of the firm in 2023. Jeanne’s legal expertise spans a broad range of areas including residential and commercial conveyancing, estate planning, wills, enduring powers of attorney, leasing, and deceased estates. Her career has predominantly been based in Cairns and the Tablelands, allowing her to develop a deep understanding of the regional challenges and opportunities faced by her clients. Before delving into law, Jeanne was an entrepreneur, co-managing three businesses with her partner. Her early professional years were spent with the Royal Australian Air Force and later with Qantas Airways, where she honed her skills in customer service while supervising the Qantas lounges at Cairns Airport. This diverse background has ingrained in her a focus on client satisfaction, a principle that continues to guide her legal practice.
