Joel Fernando is the Principal of Mawson Lawyers, where he advises individuals, families and businesses across civil and commercial litigation, property law, business and commercial matters, estate planning and deceased estates. Joel takes a practical and client focused approach to legal work. He aims to understand each client’s circumstances, explain the available options in plain language and develop a strategy that reflects their needs and objectives. His litigation practice includes contract, property and commercial disputes, while his transactional work extends to conveyancing, leases, business sales and other commercial arrangements. In estate planning and deceased estate matters, Joel assists clients with Wills, Enduring Powers of Attorney, Advance Care Directives, Probate and Letters of Administration. Joel holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Adelaide, a Bachelor of Information Technology and a Master of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance from the University of South Australia.
