Tamara Hage is a Senior Associate at McKays, bringing a diverse range of experience across Industrial Relations and Employment Law, Commercial and Business Law, Personal Property Securities Act (PPSA) matters, and Local Government. She holds a Bachelor of Laws with First Class Honours from James Cook University, where she was awarded the University Medal. Her achievements include the Una Prentice Memorial Trust Award by the Women Lawyers Association of Queensland for academic excellence, and in 2021, she was a finalist in the Lawyers Weekly 30 Under 30 Awards in the Employment and Industrial Relations category. Tamara’s practice encompasses a broad spectrum of legal issues, allowing her to provide clients with comprehensive and practical advice. She is one of the few practitioners in the Mackay region experienced in Industrial Relations and Employment Law, complementing her strong foundation in Commercial and Business Law. This combination enables her to deliver solutions that consider multiple facets of her clients’ circumstances. In addition to her private sector work, Tamara is an integral part of McKays’ Local Government team, advising numerous local government entities. She leads the firm’s Personal Property Securities (PPSA) work, overseeing advice and registrations on the Personal Property Securities Register (PPSR) for clients. Passionate about the Mackay region, particularly its mining and resource industries, Tamara was appointed a Director of the Resource Industry Network (RIN) in November 2022. She also chairs RIN’s Career Opportunity Equity and Diversity Committee, reflecting her commitment to workforce development and inclusion within the sector. Known for her professionalism and dedication, Tamara strives to identify effective legal solutions and deliver outstanding client service. Her wide-ranging expertise across employment, local government, and commercial law provides her with a well-rounded perspective, which is especially valuable in handling complex matters.
