Alexander McKenzie

Alexander McKenzie is a Director at McLean McKenzie & Topfer, where he has been contributing to the litigation team since joining the firm in 2016. He holds a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Public Policy, and a Bachelor of Laws with Honours, both awarded by the University of Tasmania in 2013. After admission to practice in August 2014, Alexander commenced his legal career as a graduate lawyer with Butler McIntyre & Butler, focusing on general litigation. Alexander provides assistance to clients in areas including workplace injuries and workers compensation claims, medical negligence cases, motor vehicle accident claims, commercial litigation, general court representation, and agency work. His legal expertise is underpinned by a commitment to achieving practical outcomes tailored to each client’s needs. Beyond his legal practice, Alexander is actively involved in the Tasmanian community. He serves as a Director of the RACT Group and RACT Insurance. His past leadership roles include President of the Tasmanian Council of Social Services and membership on the Tasmanian Community Fund Board. Alexander also led the North West Young Lawyers Committee and was honoured as Tasmania’s Young Lawyer of the Year in 2017. Outside of work, Alexander enjoys outdoor activities such as cycling along the North West Coast, sailing, and bushwalking. He values spending time at Sisters Beach with his partner, their daughter, their dog Pudding, and close friends and family.
