Chelsea Bech

Chelsea Bech is a senior associate at Meillon & Bright Legal in Perth, focusing exclusively on family law since 2016. She began her career as a paralegal at the firm in 2018 before being admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Western Australia in 2019 and the High Court of Australia in 2020. Chelsea’s experience spans all areas of family law, including financial and parenting matters. She has a particular interest in relocation cases and is dedicated to helping clients resolve disputes efficiently, discreetly, and with sensitivity to costs. She regularly assists clients through negotiation and mediation, aiming to avoid lengthy litigation where possible. Her courtroom experience includes appearances in the Family Court of Western Australia, the Children’s Court of Western Australia, and the Federal Circuit Court and Family Court of Australia. Chelsea manages matters from the commencement of proceedings through to trial and judgment, including instructing counsel. Chelsea holds a Bachelor of Laws, a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting, and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice. She is a member of the Law Society of Western Australia, the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia, and the Family Law Practitioners Association of Western Australia. She also contributes to the community as a member of Legal Aid Western Australia’s Family Law Panel. Outside of her professional life, Chelsea enjoys cooking and following sport.
