Hayder Shkara

Hayder Shkara is the principal at Melbourne Family Lawyers. Having assumed leadership of the practice from Silvio Auditore in 2022, Hayder brings a wealth of expertise to the family law field. His extensive experience encompasses financial and property settlements, divorce, custody matters, wills and estate planning, consent orders, and binding financial agreements. Renowned for his communication skills, Hayder effectively represents clients before Judges and Magistrates and develops strong relationships with his clients. An ex-Olympic athlete, Hayder channels the dedication and discipline honed through sports into his legal practice. He holds a double degree in Laws and Communication (Journalism) from the University of Technology Sydney. In addition to his role at Melbourne Family Lawyers, Hayder is the principal of Justice Family Lawyers, a firm he established after representing Australia in Taekwondo at the Rio de Janeiro Olympics. Rooted in a diverse background with an Iraqi father and Japanese mother, Hayder values family and community. His commitment to his firm is evident as he meticulously oversees all matters, offering comprehensive support to his team and clients. Outside of his legal career, Hayder enjoys playing soccer and coaching sports, reflecting his passion for teamwork and leadership on and off the field.
