Melissa Tsui

Melissa Tsui is a Principal Lawyer and Director with extensive experience in family law, conveyancing, and wills and estates. She graduated from the University of New South Wales in 2011 with a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Economics (Financial Economics), and was admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 2013. Melissa has a strong background in family law matters, particularly complex property settlements and parenting disputes. She frequently represents clients in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia in Sydney, navigating the complexities of these cases with professionalism and care. Beyond family law, Melissa also handles conveyancing transactions and assists with wills, estates, and family provision claims. Known for delivering clear, practical, and commercially sound advice, Melissa is committed to achieving favourable outcomes for her clients. Her extensive litigation experience gives her insight into the emotional challenges clients face during disputed matters, allowing her to provide support with sensitivity and understanding. Since beginning her career in the eastern suburbs in 2012, Melissa founded Tsui Lawyers in 2021. In 2025, she merged her practice with Thao McKay to establish Merit Legal Group, combining their shared values and complementary knowledge. Melissa is actively involved in the legal community and served as President of the Eastern Suburbs Law Society from 2023 to 2024. She currently holds the position of Immediate Past President.
