Chelsea Schaefer

Chelsea relocated to Armidale from the regional centre of Wagga Wagga to pursue university studies. During this time, she established strong ties to the local community after meeting her husband, a longtime resident of the area. Chelsea leads the firm’s dispute resolution team, with a significant focus on family law matters including divorce, parenting arrangements, and property settlements, as well as criminal law. In 2018, she was appointed as a Director alongside Richard and Greg. While completing her Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws degrees, Chelsea gained extensive experience by working full-time in local legal practices. This practical experience gave her a comprehensive understanding of family law, criminal law, and civil litigation. Since her admission as a solicitor, Chelsea has practised mainly in family law and criminal law, appearing in a range of courts including the Local Court, District Court, Federal Circuit Court, and Family Court. She is a dedicated advocate, committed to representing her clients effectively. Chelsea is also an accredited Independent Children’s Lawyer (ICL) recognised by the Family Court. This role involves representing the best interests of children in complex cases, particularly where concerns such as abuse, neglect, violence, or mental health issues are present. Outside her professional life, Chelsea is a devoted mother and an enthusiastic sportswoman.
