His tenure there was marked by his focus on facilitating defect claims, resolving disputes, and streamlining strata renewals. He also played a crucial role in setting up workable developer by-laws and managing neighbourhood disputes, such as those involving trees and easements.
Earlier in his career, as a Partner at Madison Marcus and Special Counsel at Polczynski Lawyers, James consistently demonstrated his strategic vision and deep understanding of strata issues. His work involved advising on strata and neighbourhood disputes, defect claims, and the intricacies of by-laws, all while educating strata managers through seminars.
James honed his litigation and advisory skills at JS Mueller & Co, evolving from a property specialist into a formidable force in strata law. His expertise in by-law preparation and litigation, particularly in NCAT, laid the foundation for his later achievements. James's academic journey began at UNSW, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Arts and Law, followed by formative years at Cranbrook School.
