Charles Morgan

Charles Morgan was raised in England and completed his studies at Cambridge University before moving to Australia in 1990. He initially practised in Melbourne, where he spent four years handling asset recovery and insolvency matters for a major bank, alongside building and construction litigation. During this period, Charles also lectured at RMIT for three years, covering building and construction law, contract law, and civil law. After relocating with his family to Myrtleford, Charles spent 17 years as a solicitor and partner in a prominent North East Victorian law firm, which operated offices from Shepparton to Mount Beauty. He led the employment and commercial litigation departments while also dealing with commercial and conveyancing work. In November 2011, Charles established Charles Morgan & Associates, focusing on employment law, commercial law, and litigation, excluding personal injury cases. On 1 January 2018, the firm became Morgan Couzens Legal with the addition of Wendy Couzens as principal. Charles’ practice covers employment law, commercial litigation, commercial matters, wills and probate, and family law. He is accredited by the Law Institute of Victoria in workplace relations. Charles principally works from the Myrtleford office, visits the Wangaratta office on Tuesdays, and attends the Wodonga office by appointment.
