Peter Murray, Principal at Hisun & Co, has established a distinguished career as a maritime lawyer over the past 35 years, primarily across Asia. Peter's early career saw him engaged in various practice areas such as casualty, charterparty, and contract of carriage alongside handling complex trade disputes. Residing in Shanghai for the past 20 years, Peter has shifted his focus towards non-contentious legal fields, concentrating on shipbuilding and finance, joint ventures, and the nuances of establishing operations within China. Notably, he founded the Shanghai office of Ince & Co LLP in 2000, expertly managing its growth and operations for over a decade. Currently, Peter offers his expertise through consulting services at the PRC law firm, Hisun & Co, working out of both Shanghai and Sydney, with a particular emphasis on facilitating business endeavours in Shanghai. His role as a supporting member of the London Maritime Arbitrators Association further showcases his commitment to the industry, and he extends his services as an arbitrator.
