Cathy Drake

Cathy serves as a Director at the firm and is an integral member of the Property and Corporate & Business Law Practice Groups. She brings dedicated expertise as an Accredited Specialist in Commercial Tenancy Law, providing comprehensive advisory services in the preparation of leases across retail, industrial, and commercial premises. Cathy also adeptly navigates clients through lease disputes and the intricate details of the Retail Leases Act. She contributes her extensive knowledge as a committee member of the Law Institute of Victoria Specialist Accreditation Property & Commercial Tenancy Law Advisory Committee. Beyond her professional commitments, Cathy has been actively involved in various community organisations. She has held roles as a Board Member and Secretary at the Fiona Elsey Cancer Research Institute, served on the committee of the Ballarat & District Law Association, and acted as Deputy Chair of BRACE. Her dedication to community service is further demonstrated through nearly a decade of volunteering at the Central Highlands Community Legal Centre and her experience lecturing at the TAFE Division of the University of Ballarat. Outside of her legal practice, Cathy enjoys indulging in a good book and has a passion for cultivating Thornton’s Black Krim tomatoes.
