Peter Nevile

Peter Nevile is the founding partner of Nevile & Co., bringing over 50 years of experience in commercial, corporate, and property law. His extensive career has seen him provide trusted risk management advice to a diverse clientele, including numerous business organisations and high net worth individuals, many of whom have established longstanding professional relationships with him. Peter’s work is marked by a strong international dimension, with regular travel to China, Indonesia, Southeast Asia, and Europe enriching his understanding of global business environments. This has enabled him to build a significant international client base, advising on inbound investment in property and business acquisitions. His contributions extend beyond legal practice into various advisory roles. Peter has served on numerous Advisory Boards and Committees and is a past national president of the Australia and Indonesia Business Council. His commitment to education is evident through his membership of the Educational Advisory Board at Deakin University and the Indonesian Advisory Committee for the Education Department of Victoria. Notably, he was commissioned to conduct an extensive report involving travel throughout the Indonesian archipelago. In addition to his professional pursuits, Peter is actively engaged in community and charitable activities. He currently advises several charitable and not-for-profit organisations, including the Mission to Seafarers, which supports shipping crews worldwide. Peter also serves as President of the Albert Park Yachting and Angling Club. Fluent in both English and Bahasa Indonesian, Peter combines deep legal expertise with a broad international outlook and a commitment to community involvement.
