Christian Knox

Christian Knox is a Director at Newnhams, where he has been part of the team since 2014, initially joining as a Law Clerk and continuing throughout his studies. He graduated from the University of New South Wales with a Bachelor of Criminology and Criminal Justice with Distinction in 2015, followed by a Juris Doctor with Distinction in 2018. Christian was admitted as a solicitor in 2019 and was recognised as an Accredited Specialist in Family Law in 2024. In the same year, he was also named a ‘Rising Star’ in Doyles Guide. Before focusing on family law, Christian gained valuable commercial experience at a commercial law firm, which enables him to bring a practical and commercially aware perspective to his family law work. He regularly acts in property and parenting disputes and contributes across Newnhams’ broader practice areas. Christian contributes to the legal community through his membership of the Law Society of New South Wales’ Family Law Committee and the Specialist Accreditation Advisory Board for Family Law. He has actively participated in law reform efforts, providing submissions to both Federal and State Governments on family law and related legal matters.
