Leanne Bishop

Leanne Bishop serves as the Principal Lawyer and Practice Leader in Insurance at PM Lawyers. With a strong foundation in insurance litigation, Leanne offers comprehensive advice and representation, predominantly in the defence of Motor Injury Insurance claims. Her role encompasses overseeing claims from initial instruction to resolution, providing insights on liability, indemnity, recovery, quantum assessment, and settlement strategies. Adept in negotiations, she facilitates claim resolutions through both informal and formal pre-trial conferences and represents defendants at interlocutory applications, pre-trial conferences, and mediations in the District and Supreme Courts. Leanne's expertise also spans the defence of industrial diseases, including asbestos-related cases, workers' compensation, employers' indemnity, and public liability claims on behalf of employers, insurers, and self-insured entities. Her academic credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Industrial Relations and a Bachelor of Laws, both from the University of Western Australia. As a dedicated member of the legal community, Leanne is affiliated with the Law Society of WA and the Australian Insurance Law Association. Her career history includes serving as a Partner at O'Sullivan Partners for nearly 19 years and holding various positions at Jackson McDonald. Additionally, she contributes as an RAC WA Councillor. Leanne's extensive experience and dedication to her field underscore her commitment to delivering top-tier legal services.
