Joseph Parker

Joseph Parker is the Legal Practice Director and founder of Parker Family Laws, leading the firm’s practice exclusively dedicated to family law since 1996. With extensive experience in all aspects of family law, Joe has managed a broad range of matters including complex parenting disputes involving allegations of abuse and family violence, urgent recovery orders, domestic violence issues, and intricate financial property settlements. His work also encompasses consent orders, binding financial agreements, proceedings in local Magistrates Courts, as well as interstate and international relocation cases. Joe has been involved in grandparent parenting matters and disputes arising in same-sex parenting contexts. Throughout his career, Joe has earned respect from his legal peers and has actively contributed to community groups focused on promoting equality, youth development, and combating domestic violence. He values mediation and consistently strives to resolve disputes amicably without court intervention where possible. When litigation becomes necessary, Joe is a determined negotiator and a robust court advocate, committed to upholding his clients’ interests firmly. Recognising the emotional challenges faced by clients involved in family law matters, Joe prioritises clear communication, ensuring clients fully understand their legal position and options. Joe is married with four children. He has previously served as Chairman of the Redcliffe PCYC for seven years and has been a member of various committees and review boards related to the Law Society, Domestic Violence, and Legal Aid. Prior to his law degree, Joe began studies in Social Work, reflecting his longstanding commitment to supporting individuals and families through challenging circumstances.
