John Walford possesses extensive experience in criminal law, marked by a diverse and accomplished career. At the age of 17, he embarked on his professional journey by joining the NSW Police Force, where he served for two decades. During this period, John honed his skills as a senior investigator and a qualified criminal analyst, receiving numerous awards for his exemplary performance. He achieved a senior rank before transitioning from the police force. Following his tenure with the NSW Police, John pursued legal studies and commenced his legal career with the New South Wales Department of Public Prosecution. Over the next 15 years, he gained significant experience prosecuting serious criminal matters. His work spanned everything from conducting criminal trials in the District Courts to daily appearances in the Local Courts, extending into regional areas of New South Wales. John's role as a senior lawyer with the Department of Public Prosecutions allowed him to refine his expertise until he co-founded the Penrith Criminal Law Centre with Martin Killen in 2016.
