Andrew began his tenure with the firm in 1989, bringing with him over three decades of experience in the intellectual property sector, following his initial engineering role in the packaging industry. He provides expert guidance to a diverse client base, both locally and internationally, especially in the areas of patent and design rights. His proficiency extends to offering strategic advice and ensuring compliance with global IP standards. In addition to his legal acumen, Andrew has held significant roles within AIPPI Australia, including serving as its President from 2013 to 2017. In his capacity as Managing Partner, Andrew is responsible for the overall leadership and strategic direction of Phillips Ormonde Fitzpatrick, committed to maintaining the firm's reputation for excellence. He holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from Chisholm Institute of Technology and is a Fellow of the Institute of Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys of Australia. Andrew's career began with Visyboard, where he gained two years of industrial experience before transitioning into intellectual property law.
