About Michael
Michael Duong was admitted as a solicitor in 2001 and has since developed a strong reputation within the legal profession, with extensive experience in family law and criminal law.
In family law, Michael is known for his effective negotiation skills, enabling the majority of his matters to be resolved without resorting to court proceedings. When litigation is necessary, he draws on over 20 years of experience to develop careful strategies tailored to each client’s needs. His client-focused approach ensures that he consistently aims for the best possible outcome while minimising the stress often associated with family law court processes. Michael’s expertise covers a broad range of family law matters, including divorce, property settlement, child custody, and spousal maintenance.
Michael also brings a wealth of experience in criminal law, having acted in Local Courts throughout New South Wales as well as the District Court. He provides practical, clear advice to clients regarding pleas, analysing all aspects of matters to inform whether a guilty or not guilty plea is appropriate. In defended cases, Michael is highly skilled in preparing strong cases and gathering necessary evidence to secure not guilty verdicts.
