About Peter
Peter Murphy is a Director at Prime Law Group and the principal of its Wollongong office. Since his admission as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales, Peter has dedicated his career exclusively to Prime Lawyers, where he plays a key role in the firm’s management and client service.
Peter’s practice encompasses a broad range of legal matters. He maintains an active case list involving estate litigation, frequently representing executors and beneficiaries in Supreme Court proceedings relating to contested wills. His expertise extends to complex commercial litigation, with experience managing cases in the Federal Court, Supreme Court, and Court of Appeal.
Having practised across the greater Sydney region early in his career, Peter now operates primarily from Wollongong while continuing to serve a strong and loyal client base in the Sutherland Shire and the Illawarra. He also advises on matters involving property law, commercial and civil litigation, and wills and estates, personally handling each matter from commencement through to resolution.
Peter holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Western Sydney and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice. He is an admitted solicitor of the Supreme Court of NSW and a member of the Law Society of NSW.
Outside the office, Peter is a dedicated supporter of the Giants in the AFL and the Wests Tigers in the NRL. He enjoys spending quality time with his wife and their two children.
