Marcus Procopio

Marcus Procopio, the Director of Procopio Legal, brings over two decades of legal expertise characterised by a practical and results-oriented approach. He has built a reputable practice focusing on contract law, business and commercial law, negotiation and dispute resolution, property law, and family law. Admitted to the Supreme Court of Western Australia in 2004 and appointed as a Public Notary in 2024, Marcus is adept at handling complex legal drafting with precision. Within his practice, Marcus prioritises clear and effective communication, ensuring clients are well-informed and confident throughout the legal process. His leadership at Procopio Legal has seen the firm offer comprehensive services covering commercial transactions, property law, due diligence, corporate governance, and debt recovery. Before establishing Procopio Legal, Marcus held significant roles, including Legal Counsel and Company Secretary at SGS, where his responsibilities spanned managing property portfolios, overseeing major projects, and handling multi-jurisdictional litigation. His tenure at Minter Ellison developed his niche for providing high-grade advice on intricate commercial and property matters, while his early career at Solomon Brothers laid a strong foundation in commercial law. Alongside his practice, Marcus contributed to the academic field as a sessional lecturer at the University of Notre Dame Australia, imparting knowledge in civil procedure and commercial practice. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce from Murdoch University.
