Kate Rafton

Kate Rafton has dedicated her legal career to family law, gaining extensive experience in this area since her admission as a solicitor. She has practised in Penrith and Parramatta, and served as a Partner at a prominent family law firm before establishing her own practice. This background has provided her with comprehensive expertise in handling a wide range of family law matters. Kate is an accredited specialist in both family law and children’s law, credentials she obtained in 2007 and 2009 respectively, distinguishing her in the Hawkesbury region. Her approach to legal services centres on recognising clients as individuals, carefully considering their unique circumstances to achieve the most favourable outcomes in emotionally challenging situations. Residing locally with her two children, Kate is deeply committed to serving the Hawkesbury community. In addition to her legal qualifications, she also holds a Bachelor of Nursing with Honours, a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice, a Graduate Certificate in Health Management, and a Master’s in Nursing specialising in Critical Care. Her nursing and healthcare management background, coupled with ongoing involvement with the Western Sydney Area Health Service, equips her with valuable insights into the emotional and psychological challenges her clients may face during family law disputes.
