Tim Mara

Tim Mara leads the Care and Protection team at Rafton’s Parramatta office, bringing nine years of dedicated experience in Children’s Law and Family Law. He regularly appears in the specialist Children’s Court, where he advocates passionately for his clients, working diligently to secure favourable outcomes. Tim also plays a key role in managing Family Court matters and supports the Family Law solicitors with thorough hearing preparation. Having previously worked with Family Law firms in Ryde and the Northern Beaches, Tim has developed a deep understanding of the legal challenges faced by parents in Care and Protection proceedings involving the Department of Family and Community Services. His commitment to guiding clients through these often complex and stressful matters ensures they receive clear, practical advice tailored to their individual needs. Tim holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Media Communications. He is a member of the Law Society of NSW, demonstrating his ongoing commitment to professional development and legal excellence.
