Rainer Martin

Rainer Martin is the Managing Director and Principal Solicitor, renowned for his expertise in criminal law. Admitted to practice in 1979, Rainer joined the Victorian Bar in 1980, where he honed his skills until 1993. During his time at the Bar, he focused primarily on criminal law while also handling various other cases, including motor vehicle law. In 1993, Rainer transitioned from the Bar to join a criminal practice, eventually becoming a partner. By 1996, he established his own criminal law firm, dedicated to providing private criminal defence services. Over the years, Rainer has appeared in all criminal jurisdictions, from the Children’s Court to the Supreme Court, serving both as an advocate and as an instructing solicitor. His extensive experience includes preparing hundreds of trials, showcasing his commitment to achieving the best outcomes for his clients. Beyond his practice, Rainer has been a contributor to the Fitzroy Legal Service Handbook and has shown a dedication to community service as Treasurer and volunteer at the former Doveton Legal Service, as well as volunteering at Camecare in Camberwell.
