Natasha Shorter serves as Special Counsel and brings over 15 years of expertise in criminal law. Her impressive career is defined by a steadfast commitment to justice and an unwavering dedication to her clients. Natasha's academic foundation includes a double degree in Law and Criminology and Criminal Justice from Griffith University, where she graduated with Honours. Admitted to practise in the Queensland Supreme Court in September 2008, she has consistently focused on defending the rights of individuals facing criminal charges. Natasha is known for her strong passion for social justice and a client-centred approach. Her empathetic nature ensures clients feel supported and understood throughout the complex legal process. She takes a methodical approach to case preparation and is highly experienced across the Magistrates, District, and Supreme Courts, handling cases from traffic offences to intricate matters like murder and manslaughter. Her capabilities as a litigator are reinforced by robust research and analytical skills, enabling her to develop effective strategies and arguments, always aiming for the best outcomes for her clients. Her professional journey includes roles with Rana Lawyers as a Director and significant positions at Russo Lawyers and McMillan Criminal Law, where she honed her litigation skills.
