Robert Champney is a Director at Redchip, leading the firm’s Litigation team with over 15 years’ experience in dispute resolution and building and construction matters. Throughout his career, Robert has developed a reputation for providing clear, strategic advice that is easy to understand, helping clients navigate complex legal issues effectively. He prioritises identifying the key issues early, delivering pragmatic guidance aimed at protecting and advancing his clients’ interests.
Robert’s client base includes corporate and small to medium-sized enterprises, individuals, liquidators, Bankruptcy Trustees, property developers, as well as building contractors and subcontractors. He regularly advises on a diverse range of disputes, including insolvency and restructuring, commercial and contractual conflicts, employment disagreements, debt recovery, insurance claims, intellectual property matters, professional negligence, regulatory disputes, and shareholder and company disputes.
In his role, Robert assists clients throughout the lifecycle of their commercial litigation matters – from briefing counsel and providing ongoing strategic advice, to conducting settlement negotiations and managing disputes arising within the building and construction sector.
